{Being Authentic} |deep darkness::bright light|

April 07, 2015  •  1 Comment

I type this with fear of what family, friends, church family and acquaintances will think, say, do, or how they will treat me. I gather the courage to share through knowing God does not waste a real life experience and that somehow He is able to use this to encourage others.

Being authentic about the real me is not easy. Often I am not good with I make pictures.

deep darkness::depression. darkness. isolation. helplessness. anxiety. suicidal thoughts. hopelessness.

bright light::Peace. God's Word. Caring people. Prayer. Faith. Jesus. Hope. Grace. Acceptance. Help. Growth. Encouragement.

Even when I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
protect and comfort me.

~ Psalm 23:4

Is the real you in deep darkness? Please know you are not alone. I encourage you to tell someone who cares so they can pray with you and assist you in getting help so that you may experience the light.

Striking! This is such an effective illustration! Thanks for sharing your God-given talent with us! Lovepat
