{Creamer Family fun} Reading with Daddy

January 25, 2015  •  2 Comments

Taking real life photos of my four kids and husband has been something that I have loved to do for the past several years. Capturing our family in pictures is something I did a lot in the past. Nobody in our family is surprised when I run and grab my camera to take pictures of them. We have large external hard drives and photo albums full of pictures taken over the past few years to prove that fact. Over the past few months I have not taken many pictures. While dealing with a sick family, everyday busyness of life, depression, long-term illness, anxiety and exhaustion I just have not had the energy or desire to even pick up my camera very much. Over the weekend I had the opportunity to do what I love for another family--capture them doing real life things together and was reminded how amazing the "little, everyday" things really are. When I got home after documenting this family, my husband was sitting and reading a big, huge book of Bible stories to our two boys. After spending an afternoon taking pictures and getting back into the everyday-things-are-big-important-memorable-things mindset I grabbed my camera and snapped a few photos of my husband and boys reading Bible stories which then lead into a discussion about what they were reading. I love the photos and am so thankful I finally picked up the camera and took some pictures of our family again.

The photos of the boys were from yesterday. This evening before bedtime I found my husband sitting in the chair reading to our daughter. So I ran to get my camera. Before we know it, she will probably be reading books to herself so I'm thankful I could witness and capture these special moments.

Teach us to realize the brevity of life,
so that we may grow in wisdom.

~Psalm 90:12

I have missed seeing the Creamers in day-to-day action, and really loved these pictures. It's wonderful to see your children with their beautiful faces, each with a ton of hair! They are a reflection of you and Ben and your love for each other. Thanks again! Love and prayers, my friend.
