The lost tooth {family lifestyle}

Many days it's a struggle for me to just get out of bed and get the day started. One thing that helps me through each day is the "small" blessings that God allows us to see and experience throughout the day. One of these blessings is watching my children. They are interested by things that don't interest adults in the same way and their responses can bring so much joy when I see them. This was one of those moments. Our oldest boy turned 6 on November 5th. He must have been excited because he woke up super early, before all the other kids. That morning as he ate his bowl of cheerios for breakfast, before his sisters and brother got up, he lost his front tooth that had been loose for a while.

Soon after this his brother woke up and came downstairs. Then big brother excitedly told little brother all about losing his tooth. Judging by his facial expressions little brother seemed a little confused and concerned--so fun to watch and see again when I look at these photos.  :)

Seeing these photos and remembering this moment reminds me to be thankful for the "little" moments that make up our day and for the ability to capture these moments!

Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be.
Remind me that my days are numbered—how fleeting my life is.

~ Psalm 39:4
